Spilker Ales, brewers of Hopluia, have just announced a new beer to their, until now, singular line up of beer. Look for Sonar at the brewery on March 14th and on shelves in Omaha and Lincoln at a later date. Check out the press release below and also this article from the Omaha World Herald.
Spilker Ales will be launching its first new beer in 11 years, Sonar. And not one, but three entirely different batches of hoppy Sonar adventures will be available in the brewery at one time. This will be an aroma explosion of nose-pinging hops you won't want to miss.
We will have the Sonar release, open house and tours at Spilker Ales from 4:00pm-7:00pm Thursday March 12th, 3:00pm-7:30pm ish Friday, March 13th, and 12:00-4:00pm Saturday March 14th. 402BBQ will be providing some great meats & eats all three days.
Sonar and Hopluia will be for sale by the case of six 22 oz. bottles, $4.6729/bottle ($30.00/case after tax) and remember to keep'em cold. Sonar will only be sold in mixed batch cases. Each case of Sonar will hold 2 bottles each of the three different batches of Sonar. There won't be a limit on case buys, we'll have enough.
The Lincoln and Omaha markets will roll out Sonar at a later date, it could be quite a while yet before we get all our ducks in a row.
Sonar was created to take you on an aroma adventure of all the incredible new hop varieties that have become available to brewers in recent years. Sonar will focus on the waves of aroma and flavor of these hop varietals, and every batch of Sonar will be different and constantly changing.
